◉ Hair Removal

Waxing

Waxing is a very effective method of hair removal for both men and women. It removes the hair from the root so that it takes longer to grow back. Over time, hair may become finer and softer or stop growing back altogether. Waxing doesn’t only remove hair – it exfoliates the top layer of skin, leaving it feeling smooth and satiny. Waxing/Sugaring can be effective for up to four weeks.

Sugaring

The sugar paste gently exfoliates only dead skin cells resulting in a much gentler sugaring, even on delicate skin tissue areas like the bikini area. The sugar is so gentle that it cannot lift the skin like wax can. Paste wraps around hair shaft making it more pliable and hair is extracted from the root in the direction of natural hair growth, which does not damage the hair follicle and reduces discomfort and irritation. Results last up to 4 weeks.

Threading

In threading, a thin (cotton or polyester) thread is doubled, then twisted. It is then rolled over areas of unwanted hair, plucking the hair at the follicle level. Unlike tweezing, where single hairs are pulled out one at a time, threading can remove short rows of hair.

Advantages cited for eyebrow threading, as opposed to eyebrow waxing, are that it provides more precise control in shaping eyebrows and is gentler on the skin. It can be painful as several hairs are removed at once: however this can be minimized if it is done correctly.

The Azia Nails Spa specializes in beautiful, natural looking gel nails using high quality products. An overlay of high-quality gel is put on over the nails, giving your nails strength and shine. on the tips, a non chipping french manicure is sculpted with white gel (not airbrushed or painted on).

How gel nails at The Azia Spa are different to other salons:

We do not do “fill”, during every gel nails appointment we remove about “75%” of the gel and re-apply, to maintain a thin nail enhancement.
